Astrology Profile Feature: Chopin
While practicing my language studies this evening, I noticed that listening to Chopin greatly accelerates my learning process. And while listening to Chopin's Nocturnes, I couldn’t help but wonder what the soul signature of such a magnificent composer could be. His music possesses such an emotionally rich quality, yet distinctly tempered with an etheric restrain. Naturally, I had to investigate his astrology chart. The most notable aspects at first glance, are his ascendant/descendant points. His Virgo ascendant undoubtedly gave rise to the clear perfectionism we hear in his work. The clarity, the timing; all of which seem so intuitive and never contrived. Across the chart on his descendant, shimmers his intuitive Pisces sun, which speaks to the subconscious, dream-like quality of his work. To me, his music often conjures visions of a resonate, underwater realm and now I understand why. In closest reception to his fullest expression of his sun, both Venus and Pluto are conjunct, harmonizing the romantic nature of his sound with the an unforgettable and rather visceral, transformative quality from deeply psychological Pluto. Most interestingly, Chopin's Mercury is in the sign of Aquarius, which is a genius signature and certainly explains the otherworldly tonality of his sound. It's as if he is reaching the ethers and bringing auditory harmonics to the earth from heaven itself… Perhaps he did! His Moon in Capricorn most likely provided structure and the necessary manifesting ability to the core of his artistic pursuits. A bold Mars in native Aries surely fueled his strength to initiate projects and see them through. He perhaps encountered frequent burnout with the combination of an active, Aquarian mind with such a headstrong Mars. Yet, I can envision his Pisces aspects were a constant source of refuge, inspiration and calm. Finally, his soul path signature beamed in his lone sign of Libra; known for aesthetic beauty, harmony and personal foundations. I think it’s relevant to say Chopin achieved at least that in his lifetime.
“Simplicity is the final achievement. After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art.” Frédéric Chopin
