Updated: Quick & Easy Immunity Tips

It’s known that the best defense against any invading entity is an empowered immune system. Here are my favorite methods for the protection of mind, body and soul and how I recently prepared myself at the cusp of the pandemic and continue to remain healthy and inspired.

Internal Immune Support

Probiotics: Science has made major breakthroughs in health, of which include discovering that our ability to process the feeling of happiness (serotonin) and our entire systemic balance, is greatly sourced in our digestive health. Hence, I’ve been an avid kombucha drinker for years. I swear it’s one of my best beauty and overall health tonics. The organic and super bioavailable nutrients lift me energetically and sharpen my mind. I prefer Synergy Kombucha because the quality is unparalleled. I can literally feel it working. I love that they use organic fruit juices and the flavors are powerful, balanced and sophisticated. Other forms of probiotics can be sourced through high quality, organic yogurts, kefir waters (and kefir yogurts) and fermented foods. My second favorite healer in this arena is apple cider viegar, with the Mother. This ancient folk remedy supports healthy digestive flora and systemically kills fungus. I recommend keeping this super accessible medicine on hand and in daily routine to remain in a state of constant balance. Note: when consuming probiotics along with anti-bacterial ingredients, you will need to rotate your approach, so as to not kill off the “good bacteria,” you are cultivating; except in the case of oregano, which I mention below.

Pau D’Arco Tea: This is the Queen of plants in my book. I drank one full box of this tea, over the span of two days as soon as I heard about the pandemic; right before traveling, plus two full boxes upon arrival to Mexico. It ‘s a quadruple healer, as it’s a potent anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and kills parasites. It reduces inflammation and has been used to heal tumors and cancers, which has been recorded by medical systems within it’s native region of South America. It also heals candida overgrowth, that pervasive systemic fungal imbalance which leads to severe and chronic health conditions if left untreated. Many recognize the all too pervasive “beer belly,” without realizing it’s actually candida overgrowth and a major symptom warning not to be ignored. I recommend getting the digestive flora under control before hoarding the hand sanitizer, which has *not* been scientifically proven to actually kill or interfere with Covid 19.

Oregano oil: Oregano naturally selects bacterial invaders in the digestive system and spares the good ones. This is the most widely accessible herbal remedy I’ve found which is a triple healer: it’s anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Make sure you’re getting a food grade oregano, mixed with a carrier oil for safe internal consumption.

Eucalyptus: I love doing eucalyptus steams in the shower, simply by sprinkling eucalyptus oil on the clean floor of a very hot shower after steam begins to rise. This stimulates the clearing and healing of the bronchial airways. It has a purifying quality on the body, has the capacity to disinfect surfaces and exhilarates the senses. Tip: You can use so many different essential oils to adjust to your needs. All essential oils have various disinfectant and therapeutic properties. I like to use lavender for relaxation, orange for cheerfulness and frankincense for meditation.

Garlic: Must be raw and cut or chopped to release its most effective healing compounds. This is one of earth’s most accessible, affordable, shelf stable and potent anti-virals. Last time I checked, an entire organic bulb cost me .40 cents. Garlic kills bacteria, viruses and fungus.

Cayenne Pepper: This simple spice is ultra healing to the respiratory system and even mitigates pain. I use it at the first onset of any lymph node symptoms and it always seems to work!

Herbal Tea: Peppermint, Echinacea, Tulsi, Licorice, Lemongrass, Ginger and Green Tea are all my go-tos. In light of recent events, these are all on current rotation in my diet. I like sourcing from a variety of herbal tisanes as I know from experience that often, herbal rememdies work well in tandem with each other. Also, it helps me portion out the dosages. Echinacea, for instance is a potent healer, but according to Organic Facts, is best used in moderation and upon the onset of symptoms.

Water is life: Filtering, nourishing, cleansing: water has so many functions and it’s truly imperative at this time that we support our entire planet with healthy water systems. For drinking; filtering, boiling or supplementing with marine sourced minerals can be helpful, depending on one’s needs. Six years ago, I switched to drinking highly mineralized water sourced from mountain springs. I can attest to the amazing effects its had on my pineal gland, skin and entire body. For other therapeutic purposes; shower steams, baths and swimming can be truly nourishing. We’re all connected to water on a primordial level and water can have a gentle, rejuvenating effect on our bodies, minds and souls. I highly recommend making access to healthy water a top priority.

Environmental Immune Support

Essential oils of clove, oregano and eucalyptus are my favorites for effectively sanitizing surfaces, while delivering a truly therapeutic scent throughout. These oils can also be used on hands, but need to be diluted with water in a spray bottle for safe usage. For surfaces, a stronger concentration of oils can be mixed into a spray bottle with water, but clove must be used sparingly, as its incredibly potent and can “melt” plastics. To purify and clear the air, I recommend the heavenly, grounding scent of palo santo smoke, but please source wildcrafted from a verified, sustainable seller.

Mental Immune Support

Peaceful visualization, affirmations, conscious breath work, exploring different narratives, maintaining energetic boundaries and prioritizing only relevant and useful facts from aligned sources can all be helpful during this time. And most of all; clearing one’s mind. I highly recommend meditation and establishing boundaries with electronics. Having an electronics curfew and keeping to it helps mitigate burnout, stress and harmful exposure to electromagnetic frequencies. If you haven’t thought about ways to fortify your frequency field to mitigate harmful 5G bombardment, now is the time.

Emotional Immune Support

Energetic boundaries, self care, empathy, compassion and love. They can go together and must, at this crucial time. Just getting into the body in a way that feels good is so important now. During the three weeks before the mandated quarantine, I maintained a daily practice of yogic and ballet ground exercises on the beach, followed by mermaid swims. It was a simple daily routine, but helped center my entire reality. Doing whatever makes your heart sing is real medicine: now and forever.
